Animal Farm
Adaption of George Orwell's fable by Crossroad Arts

A Theatre to the Edge presentation

This stylised theatrical production uses music, film and the raw physical power of three dynamic actors on a bare stage to portray a multitude of characters in this Orwellian world of Animal Farm. First seen at the Brisbane Powerhouse in 2003 this revamped larger production from Mackay loses none of its power and appeal.

The centrepiece of this political fable are the three actors who remain on stage throughout the entire show using their physical and vocal skills to move from farmers to pigs, horses to birds in this metaphor of a contemporary political world, where language can distort meaning and fear is harnessed by the rulers to maintain their positions of power.

This tour is assisted by Arts Regional Touring Service (ARTS), a Queensland Government initiative.
