SUN - HERALD DARWIN THEATRE COMPANY, JUST US THEATRE COMPNAY   AND TROPIC SUN THEATRE PRESENT Constance Drinkwater and the Final Days of Somerset BY STEPHEN CARLETON A Theatre to the Edge Presentation                                                                                                                                         Winner of the 2005 Patrick White Award and the 2006 New Dramatists Award that will see the play in New York this year, this play will be co-produced by Darwin Theatre Company, JUTE and Tropic Sun Theatre. It is a finely-etched and humorous new Australian play which uses the failure and final excesses of a mythical settlement in Far Northern Australia as a metaphor for the decline of Western and, in particular, white civilisation. The play will be directed by Merrilee Mills (Darwin) with Dominie Hooper designing and features Suellen Maunder, Artistic Director of JUTE in the title role and John du Feu, Artistic Director of the Darwin Theatre Company.
