With Tom E. Lewis as Othello and Andrew Hale as Iago, heading a large and exciting cast of Townsville’s leading talent, this stirring story of romance and tragedy takes on new significance beneath the starry Townsville sky. The young Desdemona falls deeply in love with a famous general, the Moor, Othello, and travels with him to continue their idyll on the island of Cyprus. Jealous eyes and sick minds follow them and, before long, the ugliest of whispers echo in Othello’s ears like approaching thunder. When the storm breaks over their island of dreams, nothing will stand in its path. Join Tropic Sun Theatre for this glorious outdoor production in Queens Gardens, Townsville.
