2008 On the Up and Up program launches in Mount Isa
Over 50 regional Queensland teens are taking part this month in an innovative new program which focuses on social cohesion for ‘youth at risk’. The program, currently held in Mount Isa, is initiated by Queensland Arts Council and involves a series of workshops and performances aimed to develop self-evaluation skills and social transition. Ontour onstage presented the hit play Walking by Apple Tree Creek free to over 250 Emerald residents on Tuesday 4 March. Emerald was devastated by flood after the Nogoa River broke its banks and joined with heavy rainfall in the Central Queensland town.
