Find Updated info at the MAC Blog   Moranbah Arts Council   Moranbah Anullrts Council has been active in this coal-mining town since 1974.  Our aim is to encourage and develop the "Arts" in our regional community.   The Moranbah Arts Council is seeking members with arts-related ideas, energy and enthusiasm and those with even a glimpse of an interest in the arts.  Art is not necessarily about excelling.  It doesn't just encompass 'painting and performances'.  In Alice Springs, for example, beanie-making is a popular art-form and there is a wonderful festival dedicated solely for this, each year.  It's not totally about the end product, it's about the creativity, the sharing of ideas a stories as well as a wonderful social gathering.   The Moranbah Arts Council exists for our community.  We support arts-related projects, ideas, workshops and arts workers who are looking for an opportunity to immerse themselves in their arts form and to introduce it to, and include others init.
