About the Redcliffe & District Arts Council  The Redcliffe & District Arts Council Inc encourages practicing arts workers and arts audiences (of all ages) to participate in the arts and cultural community in the Redcliffe region. The Council supports the local arts and cultural scene, by offering programs from across the State, as well as producing its own activities and events.   Objectives: Program arts events Build audiences for the arts in the Redcliffe region Develop an awareness of the Arts Council in the community and promote its activities Encourage and support young people in the arts Actively seek funding for arts activities, and Develop partnerships with the community  The Redcliffe & District Arts Council Inc. accesses the Queensland Arts Council’s programs of Ontour ByRequest and Ontour OnStage.     Structure: The Redcliffe & District Arts Council Inc is an incorporated association. The Committee meets at the Redcliffe Cultural Centre on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.   As from December 2007 every second meeting wil be an informal forum, open to all council members and friends, with a meal or refreshments available from the Cue Cafe and Bar. AIR is a group of visual artists who meet, share information, organise workshops and identify opportunities to promote and show their work. The group is made up of professional and semi professional artists.   The group meets regularly on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
