Thoughts Have Feelings Too

A sweet and gentle comedy about how thoughts and feelings are connected.

Thoughts Have Feelings Too is a gentle and funny performance that shows students how to think positively about the feelings they experience in their day-to-day lives in a primary school environment.

The students meet two clowns: Sweet ‘Clown’ and the absent-minded ‘Professor’. When the two clowns meet in the Professor’s laboratory, they discover that thoughts and emotions are connected. Over four scenes focussing on happy, sad, anger and fear, the clowns discover how to recognise each emotion and simple steps to deal with them.

Supporting the Health Curriculum, which promotes positive self-talk and interaction, Thoughts Have Feelings Too provides a tool for schools to discuss emotions in a positive and light-hearted way.

Devised by experienced director Tony Kishawi, in close consultation with teachers and child health specialists, Thoughts Have Feelings Too premiered for the opening of Mental Health Week celebrations in Brisbane’s Southbank Piazza.

Performed by Ben Cornfoot and Brin Pritchard. Written, produced and directed by Tony Kishawi, Lightwire Theatrical Productions.
